Protecting the environment and the concept of reuse of energy has been widely accepted by the people. Green building meets the demand of this age and has received global attention. This paper introduces the concept and characteristics of green building and explains the meaning of green building from two aspects, namely, conversation of energy and resources as well as environmental protection. Green building can provide a more comfortable living environment. Lastly, this paper gaives an analysis of the present state of development of green building. It proposes that in order to strengthen the publicity of green builing, the key factor is to increase the market demand for green building. A comfortable, healthy and effective human living environment is what mankind aspires for. As the saying goes, "The sun appears only after wind and storm". In the course of constructing and processing a large quantity of inhabitable domestic flats and enormous public buildings, it is inevitablethat a great amount of natural resources and energy will be consumed and thereby causing adverse effects of varying degree to our ecological environment. While improving the quality of living environment, the construction industry is also faced with a crucial problem of how to make use of resources and energy effectively and reduce pollution and how to protect our resources and ecological environment. This is also a major issue which the construction industry is keen to resolve. The integration of the concept of sustainable development into the entire process of construction, in other words, to develop green building, has become an inevitable trend in the future development of construction technology. 人工翻译
