On summer holiday my parents took me to Beijing. We stayed at Huabei Hotel. On the first day we went to the Great Wall. The Great Wall is very long and old. It has millions of bricks. Word came that a reading festival would be held by our school and there is a need for a picture for advertisement and I am writing to give my opinion. From my perspective , I am in favor of the picture in the top right corner.
As is vividly depicted in that picture, around the table sit three kids with a couple of books in their hands, having a heated discussion about the contents and sharing their thoughts for the themes, which shows their dedication and passion for reading.
Basically, several reasons are listed for my preference. First, nothing is more attractive than a proper and realistic picture. This picture serves as an epitome of our daily reading scene in the school and it is apt to let students recall the joy and harvest while reading.
Second, this picture stands for the fun of sharing and exchanging ideas. With regard to reading, there is a saying that there are a thousand Hamlets in a thousand people's eyes. What a pleasant surprise it is to know that our school will hold a Reading Festival! Hearing that the committee need select a picture as the publicity photo, I intend to voice my opinion that I am fond of the one on the left corner.
Actually, the three photos are equally attractive to us students. If we must elect one to publicize, I prefer the one that is composed of books, coffee, musical notes and instrument, which creates the an agreeable and relaxed atmosphere.
“Read a good book, just like a noble people in conversation.”, which is said by Gerd, reveals that books play an essential role in our life. Creating an atmosphere by music and coffee，it appeals to students to start reading. Moreover, the image could imply that reading has the function of nurturing spirituality and purifying mind.

An Unforgettable Lesson
In my life I have experienced many important things. But perhaps the most unforgettable thing which is really worth mentioning is the lesson given by my Chinese teacher just after she had an accident.
One morning just before our Chinese lesson, we were told our Chinese teacher, Miss Liu, had had an accident. One of her legs was badly injured and she couldn’t come to teach us. While we were planning to visit her after school, we also thought that maybe we would be free to do whatever we wanted during our Chinese lesson, and hoped our homework load would be reduced. But to our surprise, shortly after the bell, Miss Liu, with the help of a stick, came to the door of our classroom. With great respect w all stood up and greeted her.
She sat on a chair and began her lesson. She spoke slowly but forcefully. She prepared her lecture quite well and demanded that we do the same. Towards the end of the lesson, we got lots of homework from her.
A good teacher is many things to many people. Everyone has definite ideas about what a good teacher is. In my opinion the teachers who demanded the most from the students are perhaps liked best.
Eating with parents makes you healthier
I believe eating with parents will make teenagers healthier.
First, as we know, a happy mood keeps people healthy. Talking more with parents is a better way of helping solve problems in our daily life. The dinner time is just a chance for communication.
Also, home-made meals are healthier for us to eat, for the food problem seems more and more serious now.
As for me, I have dinner with my parents every day. My family all think the time for dinner is the most important moment for each of us.
Boys and girls, the final exams are coming. What should we do in order to prepare well for the exams? Here are some suggestions.
Firstly, its very important for us to be in good moods. Dont be nervous or stressed. Otherwise, we will not have the courage to face difficulties. Secondly, we should have proper aims. If we aim too low, we may become lazy. If we aim too high, we may lose confidence. Thirdly, Dont stay up late so that we can make ourselves energetic in class and pay attention to our study. Fourthly, wed better have more communication with our parents, teachers and classmates. They can help us get out of trouble. Finally, a healthy diet is very useful as well.
With these done, I believe we can be successful in the exams.
