past， after， to这三个词均可表示钟点。

表示在30分钟之内时可以用after或past，但前者一般用于美式英语，而后者在美式英语和英式英语中通用； 在表示超过30分钟时要用to，其后接下一个钟点。

规则动词的过去式变化如下：

（1）一般情况下，动词词尾加 ed ，如worked 、played、 wanted 、acted。

（2）以不发音的 e 结尾动词，动词词尾加 d，如：lived 、moved、 decided 、declined、 hoped、 judged 、raised 、wiped。

（1）一般过去时表示在过去某个特定时间发生，也可以表示过去习惯性、经常性的动作。一般不强调动作的影响，只说明事情。
