儒家的代表人物是孔子，孔子的英语是Confucius，而儒家学者是Confucian，整个儒家学派就是Confucianism。

同样，道家所说的“道”，翻译成英文是Tao，道家学者就是Taoist，而整个道家学派就是Taoism。我们用同样的方法来看看佛教，佛用英文表达是Buddha，那么佛教徒和佛教就分别是：Buddhist和Buddhism。
