演讲是一门艺术。好的演讲自有一种激发听众情绪、赢得好感的鼓动性。要做到这一点，首先要依靠演讲稿思想内容的丰富、深刻，见解精辟，有独到之处，发人深思，语言表达要形象、生动，富有感染力。其次，要注意文章的逻辑、层次性，做到条理清晰，内容完整。或以层层推进的方式，一环扣一环地展开，或按时间的顺序、空间的转移进行记述。稿子不仅要做到语言上的无懈可击，更要新颖有趣，让评委有耳目一新的感觉。第一，开头要抓住听众，引人入胜。第二，结构要环环相扣，层层深入。要处理好层次、节奏和衔接等几个问题。对提出的论题，不可主观地下结论，而要进行客观论证。要有说服力，关键是要把道理讲清楚。常见的论证方法有举例法、因果法、对比法等。可适当加入些句式短的排比句，这样在演讲时容易迸发出激情；也可以用些疑问句，引起听众的共鸣和思索；还可以用一些英语典故或俚语、谚语等，只要用得恰当，就会为你的稿子锦上添花。写作演讲稿在语言运用上应注意以下四个问题:(一)要口语化。演讲稿的口语化，不是日常的口头语言的复制，而是经过加工提炼的口头语言，要逻辑严密，语句通顺。(二)要通俗易懂。(三)要生动感人。好的演讲稿，语言一定要生动。用形象化的语言，运用比喻、比拟、夸张等手法增强语言的形象色彩，把抽象化为具体，深奥讲得浅显，枯燥变成有趣。还可运用幽默、风趣的语言，增强演讲稿的表现力。(四)演讲稿不在乎长，而在乎精。在一次演讲中不要期望得到太多，宁可只有一个给人印象深刻的思想。总之，演讲稿要观点鲜明、感情真挚。注意行文变化，富有波澜，内容有起有伏，有张有弛，有强调，有反复，有比较，有照应。做到语言流畅、深刻风趣。言简意赅、余音绕梁的结尾能够使听众精神振奋，并促使听众不断地思考和回味。即兴演讲有学问即兴演讲和针对演讲内容的问答，一般是最难以准备因而也是最容易产生紧张情绪的环节。其实，这两个环节同样也是可以准备的，方法是:背诵口语段落或准备模板。用头脑风暴的形式对不同的题目进行发散和深入的思考，来扩展论据、清晰思路。背诵这些段落一定要注意适当放慢语速，抑扬顿挫，要让听众感觉你确实是在“说”，而不是在“背”。以上所讲有一点共通之处，这就是切忌内容空泛、喊大口号、谈大理论。其实这也是中文演讲和英文演讲很大的一个不同。因此，重点是将你的suppor ting details(论据)娓娓道来，这也是评委们感兴趣的东西。在即兴问答方面，最重要的是要集中注意力把评委的问题听清楚。不用匆忙，一定要审清题，要答到点子上。在即兴演讲和临场表演的环节中，一定要注意新颖及抖包袱。说发生在自己身上的事情比较有感觉，注意不要落于俗套，只有做到“人无我有，人有我优，人优我新”，才能吸引住评委的眼球，得到好的分数。其他演讲这样准备中小学生比赛中常出现的看图说话其实并没有很强的技巧性，只要选手能流畅地将画面意思表达出来并且可以自圆其说就可以了。另一种是听力测评，难度由听单词到短文不等。听力训练也要在平时完成，而赛前的准备有一种临阵磨枪的方法，就是在比赛前两三天尽量进入全英文环境，看无中文字幕的电影、听录音、广播，听不懂没关系，主要锻炼听到英语不紧张的自然心态。电影配音与角色扮演，重要的是根据个人的兴趣及特长做好充分准备。此外，赛前突击最重要的是加大阅读量。要接触一些时政要闻和英美风情介绍，扩充自己的知识面。可以多听英语的新闻或介绍西方概况的节目，培养语感和听力反应速度。当然最好是接受专业的培训。因为培训可以模拟正式的比赛，让你在最真实的环境中不断进步。而且集中的培训，老师会从最基本的语音语调着手，不断纠正你的错误，完善你的表现。对广大中小学生来说，参加口语大赛，首先要解决的就是语音语调的问题。要做到背诵内容中的零语音错误，对读不准音的单词一定要咨询老师或者查字典；演讲时尽量放松，力求说出最自然的状态。建议选手们要注意一些演讲方面的技巧，比如面部表情、肢体动作，应该和语言配合起来才能取得好的效果。参与比赛与观看比赛是完全不同的，过程很重要。参加大赛心态一定要平和，并非为了获得显赫名次和荣誉，重要的是在比赛中衡量自己的英语水平，寻找差距和目标，享受竞争中彼此学习的过程
