e.Subject:指的是主题,即这个memo主要是说哪方面的事情。这个单词可以缩写为Sub。主题有时候也可以用Re:来表示。 Re是regarding 的缩写,即这个memo是关于什么内容的,也就是主题,它就等于subject。

f.正文:即这个memo的具体内容。

1. 首先memo这个单词有些时候可以省略,因为大多数memo都印在专门的公司用纸上,并且纸上已经印有公司的标志等,如果没有memo这个词则要些出来。memo这个单词可以写在第一行的中间或者左边。

2. 注意memo的格式,即To,From,Date和Subject这4项内容的位置并不是议程不变的,可以有以下形式:

3.明确表明意图,准确传递信息。在实际工作中,memo的内容可长可短,也可以正式或者非正式化,甚至非常口语化。这主要取决于对象是谁和所写的正式程度。不必用过于复杂的单词,行文应该简单,每句话表达一个意思。

4.如果内容较长,可以适当分段并且标注编号,可以用1,2,3或者A,B,C 等符号标识不同的内容。

5.语言应该礼貌。

6.便函写作会涉及到开会时间和地点等问题。要想将这样的信息传递清楚就涉及到正确使用表示时间和地点的介词,而这仅仅是需要注意的语法知识的以小部分而已。不仅非正式文体写作需要注意语法知识,书信和报告中也要注意这些细节,因此本书专门就重要的语法知识进行了专项讲解。有关语法讲解和练习请参看本书第5章第2单元的内容。

BEC考试中对memo的考核情况

在BEC 初、中、高三个级别中,memo通常只出现在初级和中级的写作考试中。请大家注意以下几点:

1.初级考试中会让你写一个memo,不过考试中的试题会把memo的格式写出来。

2.对于中级考生而言,memo的格式必须掌握。

3.格式中的To,From,Date,Subject 这4项内容中不论有多少单词都不计入考试要求的字数的。列如,中级写作中memo的写作要求为40-50个单词,这个字数指的是memo的正文,而格式中的单词不计入。
