pass本来就是通过的意思，中国式英语却歪解为淘汰，某些中国人脑筋有问题。

单独一个pass英文单词翻译成中文有通过的意思，把他"PASS掉"是指忽略，不考虑某人，尤其是在考虑人选时。

要根据意义来确定pass是淘汰还是通过。如：pass the exam是考试通过，而不是把考试淘汰了

pass的本意是通过，及格的意思，并没有被淘汰的意思。被淘汰的意思主要是衍生而来，由他人语境造成。例如：面试或者考核到时候他人对你说，你被pass了，就是淘汰的意思。其他语境都没有这个意思。
