With the continuous development of the Sino-American bilateral economic and trading ties in recent years, the USA has now become China's second largest trading partner, the greatest export market and the sixth largest source of importation. At the same time, China has also become American's third largest trading partner, the second greatest source of importation and the fourth largest export market. And the issue of trade imbalance is drawing greater and greater attention of the two sides. In particular, China's trade surplus with the USA has affected the smooth development of Sino-American economic and trading ties.
