1、at present，for the present都属于固定搭配格式，不能修改成at the present，in present等其他格式。前者指“现在”，后者指“暂时”；

2、at present同presently意思不同，但前者常用于现在时，表示“目前”，后者则常用于将来时，表示“一会儿”；

3、present和gift的比较：present指“礼物”，但gift可以不是“礼物”。Birthday/Christmas gift中，gift属于礼物。在别人需要而将东西送给他时，如一本旧书或是把书捐给图书馆，都属于gift，但不算送“礼”；

confer, present, grant, give,bestow这组词都有“给予，赠给”的意思，其区别是：

confer 通常指授予称号或学位等。

present 指正式地给予或授予，通常伴有仪式进行。

grant 多指出于慷慨、怜悯或正义感而给予，并且通常是在被请求下给予。

give 最普通用词，泛指将自己的东西给予他人，所给予的东西，物质或非物质的均可。

bestow 正式用词，指把某物作为礼物赠送于某人，也可作引申用。

就give 就可以了，或者give. ..as present

give表示赠送、给予，但gift作为动词时也可以作赠送，不过不常用！！！
