1、指代不同

margin：指边缘；利润。

profit：指利润；利益。

2、用法不同

margin：有“边”“边沿”的意思。指书页的空白边缘，也可指物体的边缘。用在比喻中意思是“留有余地”。

profit：profit作为名词的意思是“利润”“赢利”，转化为动词则表示“从…中获利”“对…有好处”。指获得明显的物质利益，或者增加其财富、知识等的储存。

profit是及物动词，接名词、代词作宾语，还可接双宾语。可用于被动结构。用作不及物动词，常与介词by， from等连用。
