1、作为副词来讲，deep和deeply都有“深深地，深切地”的意思。但deep常用来表示具体的深度。
2、在被动结构中，deeply常用于过去分词之前；deep常用于过去分词之后。
3、修饰带有感情色彩的动词(如 hate, dislike, love, admire, hurt, regret 等)，通常要用 deeply。另外，修饰形容词、过去分词等，一般也要用deeply。

deep与deeply的用法区别：
一、位置不同：在动词之前或句首通常只用ly副词。
如：He slowly drove the car into the garage.他把车慢慢地开进车库。
Quickly everybody stood up.大家很快地站起来。
但在动词后，两种副词都可用。
如：He drives slow/slowly.他的车开得很慢。
He sold it cheap/cheaply.他将它便宜卖了。
二、含义不同：与形容词同形的副词通常指具体情况，而-ly副词多指抽象概念。请比较：
