1、听写：认认真真，一词一句地写出来，是加速是听力发育的手段， 同时也是检验英语水平和查找自身不足的一个好方法。2、要重视查找工作：听不出来就多听，不要急，急也急不来。有些上午听不出来，可能下午就听出来，或者晚上再听就已明白一部分。听不出来，多用听音查词，多用googel和维基百科，查找的过程也是一个很好的训练基本功和增长知识的过程。有的听友不重视查找过程，认为浪费时间。实际经验表明这个功夫不会白费的，对英语水平提高极为有利！头稿或homework尽量写的完美的听友，进步是惊人的。3、复述，翻译和复习：把新闻稿听写出来了，实际只完成了工作的一半。要留出时间，进行复述，翻译和复习。听说不分家，听写和复述有助于提高听友的口语能力，而口语能力的提高进一步推动了听力的提升，相辅相成。翻译有助于加深理解。4、阅读：我们认为新闻听力的培养，除了听写外，还一定要和阅读紧密地联系起来。新闻英语是相对书面化的英语，因为新闻需要在限定时间内，把最多的信息提供给听众。即使相对较口语化的CNN和FOX，书面化英语仍然占很大比例。新闻听写和阅读是相互促进的。听友们在听写的同时，要经常阅读时效性强的新闻外刊或阅读国外新闻大站的新闻，比如CNN，纽约时报，时代杂志，经济学家等。5、泛听：我们听到的新闻只是正常英语广播中的一部分。我们常常听到有些人这样说，我能听懂BBC，而实际是他指的BBC是指BBC World Service 的5分钟新闻，离真正听懂BBC广播节目还相差甚远。90年代末期的信息革命极大地改善了我们学习英语的环境，有条件听友完全可以做到与英美居民一样，同时享有大量英语资讯。在认真听写的同时，也希望听友们能有一定的泛听量。6、需要学习除新闻英语以外的英语：新闻英语重复性高，有利于听友打好基础，但同时它离现实生活中使用的语言还是有一定距离，远不能说是英语的全部。我们一荣新闻限定三分钟，除了上面提到的原因外，还有一个原因就是要让大家有时间到多主题区和影视区学习。
