考研英语的复习建议多做真题，乱起八糟的模拟题水平高低不同，反而会误导复习。做完的题建议反复分析错误，重复做几次，把不认识的单词、理解问题、记忆问题都找出来，这样相信你一定能提高的。我当时就这样复习的，英语考了73。

亲，你自己圈的那句话，我觉得是可以的，但是我咋觉得你，有点理解的反了呢？那个Instead of intimate shops.....应该是说，the department stores 不像intimate shops那样，而是“anyone could enter....”，所以，应该和intimate shops没啥关系吧~~~另外，通过“People are absorbed into “a culture of consumption” launched by the 19th-century department stores ”这句话，应该很明显看出A是对的吧。

我的理解是这里已经将common consumers普通消费者和a knowledgeable elite精英知识阶层分为两种人了，而根据文章的意思， the department stores of the 19th century 不仅仅 became intimate shops for common consumers 它也catering to a knowledgeable elite，所以不能单说stores 变成对普通消费者友好的商店了了，因为stores是对二者都友好。所以不能选B，因为可能有歧义。 另：阅读理解的选择题一定要选最贴切的，不要太苛求细节，不要想太多，不然会影响做题。 希望对你有帮助！

这位小友， 对公众开放推不出 became intimate for common consumers ,如果这样推的话，那是不是可以说现在对精英阶层的人就不开放了，就不友好 ，不亲近了啊？ 原文是 Instead of intimate shops catering to a knowledgeable elite。这是以前专门服务与精英阶层的时候。这里用到了intimate 。而B项把intimate转接到common consumers 上面去了，这是原文所没有的，也推不出来的。既然是向所有公众开放，也就没有对谁更亲近的意思了。
