It's about a relation between a man and a dog like no other, and gives a new meaning to the phrase "Man's best friend.".Based on a story of a real dog Hachi that waited for his deceased master for 9 years in Tokyo's Shibuya station, Hachi is a moving story about dog's loyalty that transcends animal - human barrier. Nowhere in the world has a story of this likes has been reported, and in his native Japan, Hachi is still the symbol of how families should be faithful to one another. This is no ordinary animal's movie as the animal not only gets the top billing, but gets it above a Hollywood A list actor Richard Gere.
