"年份"一般分为两个单位来读，前两个数为一个单位，后两个数为一个单位。

如2019年读作：twenty nineteen

如果是三位数，先读第一位，再把后两个数合起来读。

如：685年可读为six eighty-five,457年读成four fifty-seven。

另外，像2000年一般读成two thousand, 2001年则读成two thousand and one,以此类推。

第三个数字为“零”（其他数字不是“零”）的年份的读法应当将该“零”读为O［u］。

例如： 1909年读作 nineteen O nine

另外，还有一些非四位数的年份，它们有两种读法：一种是按照基数词的方法来读，另一种是一个一个数字来读。

例如：534BC 读作 five three four BC（或five hundred and thirty-four BC）

1、在月、日和年之间或星期和月、日和年之间要加逗号。

如：Feb. 5，2004 或 Thursday，February 5，2004。2、英语日期前介词的使用：

若指在哪一年或哪一月，则用介词in，

若具体到某一天，则需用介词on.

3、在英文的日期表述中，月份有专有名词，而日子用序数词表示。

日期的写法英美有所差异，英国通常表示为“日—月—年”，美国通常表示为“月—日—年”。

例如 2015年10月11日：

美式写法为 October 11th，2015

英式写法为 11th October，2015
