Americans have been hypocrites ever since the foundation of their nation, why just look at it's name, the United States of America. This nation did not exist before 1776, even though most people think that it were there in the form of colonies. WRONG! The definition of a colony is a developing nation ruled or overseen by an imperial nation. That means there were 13 individual nations in the East coast. Each nation had it's own form of currency, laws, and governing body. Hmm, sounds like a nation to me. Now lets talk about the hypocritical aspect in its culture.They deplore the destruction of the world’s rainforests by other nations yet they continue to destroy their own native forests at an alarming rate.They deplore terrorism when perpetrated upon us by foreign powers but they continue to use terrorism against innocent civilians both at home and abroad.They say that they care about the health, welfare, and education of our children, yet they imprison them in sterile windowless schools and supply them with junk food and caffeine laced soft drinks.They say that they care about animal welfare and make donations to animal shelters yet they continue their ravenous appetite for factory raised animals which have been abused and then slaughtered in the most inhumane fashion imaginable.They say that they care about honesty and integrity in government yet they continue to elect persons who whore themselves to the highest bidder when they take office.In surveys they declare that they mostly watch educational programming but video store rental records indicate that violence and porn rule.They proclaim that they care about the poor, hungry and homeless but when it comes time to help them they declare them to be lazy and worthless and unworthy of help.They get angry when they hear about the death penalty carried out in Third World dictatorships yet they cry for blood and the death penalty in our so-called civilized nation, even knowing that as many as 1 in 10 persons killed by the state are totally innocent of the crime.They pontificate about the abuse of women in the Third World, yet they work to deny women their basic freedom to plan their families and have dominion over their own bodies while their own Supreme Court has recently ruled that it is ok to strip search women and lock them up for failing to wear a seat belt.They call themselves conservationists yet they continue to waste our precious resources like no other nation in the history of the planet.They call themselves patriots and defenders of freedom and in the next breath call for more and more police powers over their lives.They proclaim that they should throw drug users and dealers in super-max torture chambers yet they ply their bodies with dangerous prescription pain killers, muscle relaxers, tranquilizers, sleeping pills. they subsidize the growing of the killer narcotic, nicotine and swig huge quantities of booze.To sum up,Americans have been hypocrites ever since the foundation of their nation, why just look at it's name, the United States of America.
