单数句和复数句的转换，首先要注意主语应该从单数转换为复数，然后是谓语动词，也应该由单数形式转变为复数形式。

复数的英语有：

1、一般情况下，在单数名词的后面加-s构成。例如：game-games，boy-boys等。

2、以s、x、sh、ch结尾的单数名词变复数，在词尾加-es构成。例如：box-boxes,bus-buses,peach-peaches,dish-dishes,city cities,baby babies,enemy enemies。

3、以o结尾，表示有生命的事物的单数名词变复数加-es；表示没有生命的事物的单数名词变复数加-s。例如：potato-potatoes，tomato-tomatoes，photo-photos，piano-pianos等。

4、以辅音字母加y结尾的单数名词变复数，将y改成i后再加-es。例如：factory-factories，story-stories，family-families。

英语翻译技巧：

1、省略翻译法

这与最开始提到的增译法相反，就是要求你把不符合汉语，或者英语的表达的方式、思维的习惯或者语言的习惯的部分删去，以免使所翻译出的句子沉杂累赘。

2、合并法

合并翻译法就是把多个短句子或者简单句合并到一起，形成一个复合句或者说复杂句，多出现在汉译英的题目里出现，比如最后会翻译成定语从句、状语从句、宾语从句等等。

怎样改复数句？ 如果是把复数句改成单数句, 首先把主语改成单数, 是一般现在时态，谓语动词需要加s。如：复数句They study English hard. 改为单数句：He （She）studies hard.
