clerk: i am sorry. your warranty has expired.(不好意思,你的保修单过期了)customer: Well, it...uh...ran out ten days ago,the machine was obviously defective when i bought it .(但是,额``,这个保修单是十天前过期的,但是很明显,录音机是在买的时候就坏了的)clerk: I am sorry, your warranty has run out.(抱歉,但是保修单是过期的)customer: 我没有把它摔过,i mean, what difference can ten days make?(我又没有摔坏录音机,我是说,就十天,我能把它怎么样啊!) 接下来又是一番争论。。。。。。然后是 顾客说:Paying for this is adding insult to injury. i mean,surely you are going to make good on this cassette player.(我买了一个坏的东西,本来就够背的了,现在修还要我付钱,这太不像话了! 我的意思是,毫无疑问我买了个坏家伙,你们要赔偿我) (这一句我补充了一些内容,让你更好理解)然后clerk说你应该早点把东西拿来。最后顾客说:but surely you won't hold me to ten days on this (但你肯定不会因为仅仅过期十天就不给我修吧. 呵呵) (顾客的态度变软了)
