1、clever前可用very修饰。其比较级为cleverer，最高级为cleverest。
2、clever是具有评价意义的形容词，可接动词不定式来说明主语在哪些方面存在形容词所表示的特点，如该动词不定式另有逻辑主体，则须用介词of引出； 接at表示“擅长某种活动或研究课题”； 接with表示“擅长使用”。
