很多英语专业人士提倡用English-English Dictionary,道理很简单，但是中国大陆还是“双解”满天飞。其中原因很少有人探究，我闲着无事，对这个问题研究了三年，发表了11篇论文，7篇被枪毙了....开玩笑的。看英汉词典很难把握它们的区别，这不怪词典编撰者的水平。breakfast什么意思？有几本英汉词典的解释是“某一天的第一顿饭”的？太多例子了。我们来看看英语词典的解释：（解释动词就够了）－－－－－－－－－－－－gaze If you gaze at someone or something, you look steadily at them for a long time, for example because you find them attractive or interesting, or because you are thinking about something else.注意attractive和interesting以及because you are thinking about something else.例句：She stood gazing at herself in the mirror...Sitting in his wicker chair, he gazed reflectively at the fire...＝＝＝＝＝＝＝＝stareto look at sb/sth for a long time:例：I screamed and everyone stared.表示没有礼貌地看人往往是stare。
