小七木瓜
（一） I pant for the music which is divine,我渴望那神圣的乐音，My heart in its thirst is a dying flower;焦渴的心似花儿凋零；Pour forth the sound like enchanted wine,像魔酒般倾诉的音品，Loosen the notes in a silver shower;音符似银色的瀑布喷淋；Like a herbless plain, for the gentle rain,似光秃秃的平原，亟盼甘霖， I gasp, I faint, till they wake again.我喘息、昏晕，直到再度唤醒。 （二） Let me drink of the spirit of that sweet sound,让我醉心于灵魂悦耳的欢歌，More, oh more,—I am thirsting yet;多些，哦，再多些，—我如饥似渴；It loosens the serpent which care has bound阴郁的毒蛇窒息了我的心窝—Upon my heart to stifle it;音乐使其放纵解脱；The dissolving strain, through every vein,迷人的旋律，通过条条脉络，Passes into my heart and brain.流入我的心坎和脑壳。 (三) As the scent of a violet withered up,宛如银色湖边的紫罗兰， Which grew by the brink of a silver lake,凋谢在郁郁幽香的湖畔，When the hot noon has drained its dewy cup,炎炎正午将朝露的花萼吸干，And mist there was none its thirst to slake—雾霭不能解渴佐餐—And the violet lay dead while the odour flew紫罗兰消殒，馨香飘散—On the wings of the wind o’er the waters blue—御风展翅在蔚蓝的湖面— （四） As one who drinks from a charmed cup正如有人从发泡、吱吱有声—Of foaming, and sparkling, and murmuring wine,闪光的汽酒魔杯中豪饮，Whom, a mighty Enchantress filling up,一个强悍的妖妇斟满香槟，Invites to love with her kiss divine... 吸引着恋人神圣一吻……
