一、see

二、watch

1、watch的基本意思是“观看”“注视”，指用眼睛跟踪某物以观察到每一个动作、变化、危险迹象、机会等。

2、引申可表示“照管”“守护，保卫”等，指明确需要警觉，做好防止危险发生的准备，强调连续性和职务性。

3、watch既可用作不及物动词，也可用作及物动词。用作及物动词时，可接名词、代词、that从句或由疑问词引导的从句作宾语，还可接以不带to的动词不定式、现在分词或过去分词充当补足语的复合宾语。

三、look

1、look的基本意思是“为了看清某物而有意识地向某一方向看去”，指使用人的视力，强调的是有意地“看”的动作。

2、look用作不及物动词时主要作“看”“观望”解，常与介词at连用。也可作“面向，朝向”解，一般是指建筑物的朝向。

3、look用作及物动词时主要作“注视”解，引申还可作“留心”“注意”“期望”解，其后可接动词不定式、疑问词引导的从句作宾语。

四、read

1、read的基本意思是“读”“阅”,指“阅读”的能力或“阅读”的动作。含有用阅读的方法理解内容的意味。

2、read既可用作不及物动词，也可用作及物动词。用作及物动词时，可接名词、代词、带疑问词的动词不定式、that从句或疑问词从句作宾语，也可接双宾语，其间接宾语可以转化为介词to或for的宾语。

3、read作“读，默读，诵读”和“借助阅读发现某人〔事〕的情况”时不用于被动结构。接含as短语的复合结构时多用于被动结构。
