另一个英语的用法

1.other可作形容词或代词，做形容词时，意思是“别的，其他”，泛指“其他的（人或物）”。如：Doyouhaveanyotherquestion(s)?你还有其他问题吗？Asksomeotherpeople.问问别人吧！Putitinyourotherhand.把它放在你另一只手里。2.theother指两个人或物中的一个时，只能用theother，不能用another，此时的other作代词。如：Hehastwodaughters.Oneisanurse,theotherisaworker.他有两个女儿，一个是护士，另一个是工人。theother后可加单数名词，也可加复数名词，此时的other作形容词。如：Ontheothersideofthestreet，thereisatalltree.在街道的另一边，有一棵大树。Maryismuchtallerthantheothergirls.玛丽比其他的女孩高得多。Helivesontheothersideoftheriver.他住在河的对岸。3.others是other的复数形式，泛指“另外几个”，“其余的”。在句中可作主语、宾语。如：Someofuslikesinginganddancing,othersgoinforsports.我们一些人喜欢唱歌和跳舞，其余的从事体育活动。Givemesomeothers,please.请给我别的东西吧！Therearenoothers.没有别的了。1)泛指（三者或三者以上中的另一个，用another（可接单数可数名词）。如:Thisglassisbroken.Getmeanother.这个杯子坏了,给我另拿一个来。(在许多杯子中的一个)2)一定范围内或两个人(物)中，特指剩下的“另一个”用theother（可接单数可数名词），特指“剩下的那些”，用theother+复数可数名词。3)一定范围内三者或三者以上，泛指“另一个”，用another。4)表示在一个范围内的其他全部,用theothers=theother+复数可数名词。如:Thisdictionaryisbetterthantheothers/theotherdictionaries.这本字典比别[其余]的好。5)泛指别的人或物时，用others。即当在一定范围内，除去一部分后，剩余部分但不是全部时，也用others。如：Somecleanedthewindows,otherssweptthefloor.有的擦窗户,有的扫地

other意为“别的，其他的”多做形容词用法，其后必须有名词等，前面可以有形容词性物主代词修饰。一般不单独使用。egWhereismyotherbook（s）？theother意为“（两者中的）另一个”单独使用时，other为代词，代替前面提到的同类名词中的另一个，多与one连用，并且句中必须能明确看出是两者。egOneofthetwinsisateacher,theotherisalawyer.theother后也可加名词，这时other为形容词。egTelltheotherboytocometomyoffice.others意为“别的，其余的，还有一些，另一些”，多与some连用。Somelikedancing,somelikesinging,andotherslikereadingpoems.(呵呵，看到这个句子想起宋丹丹了没。)gettothepoint,(言归正传)，由此例句也可以看出，others并不代替其余的全部。这点要注意跟theothers区别theothers意为“其余的（人或物）”单独使用，指代其余全部。egOnlysixofuspassedtheeaxm,theothersfailed.将这句跟上一例句比较就容易区分了。another意为“另，再，又”只能为定语，与theother区别：another为多数或不定量中的另一个，theother前面说过为两者中的另一个。egIdon'tlikethishat,showmeanother,please.此外another+数词=数词+more也是常用的短语，表示“再，又”Wouldyoulikeanothercake?=Wouldyoulikeonemorecake?

当然是another。the other是两者之间的 one。。。the otherother是个形容词 剩下的，其他的意思 作定语。he studies hard whereas other students don't。others是代词 其他的东西或者人。He felt unhappy but others are notanother=an other意思就是一个其他的。We have tried many means，but can you have another means？

There are no others. 没有别的了. 4.the others意思是“其他东西,其余的人”.特指某一范围内的“其他的（人或物）”.是the other的复数形式.如： Two boys will go to the zoo,and the others will stay at home. 两个男孩将去动物园,其余的留在家里. the others=the other +复数名词,这在第2条中已经有所介绍. 5.another=an+ other,既可作形容词,也可作代词,只能用于三个或更多的人或物,泛指同类事物中的三者或三者以上的“另一个”,只能代替或修饰单数可数名词.如： I don’t like this one.Please show me another. 我不喜欢这一个,请给我看看另一个. I have three daughters.One is a nurse,another is a teacher and another is a worker. 我有三个女儿.一个是护士,另一个是教师,还有一个是工人. else表示“另外的”表示“除此之外 ,还有”,相当于besides,如： What else can I say? 我还能说什么呢?
