“令我没想到的是……”用英文有很多方式，根据在句子里面的成分，可以是：
1. 作状语时，可以用介词短语或者副词：
to my surprise/astonishment/amazement；或者unepectedly,surprisingly；
举例：
To my surprise, she never complained her hard and dirty work.
令我惊讶的是，她从来没有抱怨过她又苦又脏的工作。
To my amazement , he remembered me.
使我大为惊奇的是他还记得我。
They had arrived unexpectedly.
他们意外地到达了。
2. 作主语时，可以是what surprises/surprised me is that...；或者what is unexpected to me is that...
What surprises me is that there is so much energy.
最让我惊讶的是，存在着如此之大的能量。
What surprised me is that he should be a man of no sense of direction.
使我吃惊的是他竟是一个没有方向感的男子。
What was unexpected to me was that he wrote 100 articles in a year.
