翻译：

live up to表示“不辜负”，不辜负期望（expectation）也就等于不负众望。
我努力活出自己的样子，不辜负众望。I tried to live up to my ideal life and people’s expectation.
如果是辜负了众望，即不孚众望呢？又该如何翻译？
只要在live up to前面加上fail就可以了。
fail是动词，意思是失败，fail to do something的意思是“未能做成某事”。
