指通过电报办理汇兑。电汇是付款人将一定款项交存汇款银行，汇款银行通过电报或电话传给目的地的分行或代理行(汇入行)，指示汇入行向收款人支付一定金额的一种交款方式。
电汇TT英语名是：Telegraphic Transfer，是汇兑结算方式的一种，汇兑结算方式除了适用于单位之间的款项划拨外，也可用于单位对异地的个人支付有关款项，如退休工资、医药费、各种劳务费、稿酬等，还可适用个人对异地单位所支付的有关款项，如邮购商品、书刊，交大学学费等。
电汇中的电报费用由汇款人承担，银行对电汇业务一般均当天处理，不占用邮递过程的汇款资金，所以，对于金额较大的汇款或通过SWIFT或银行间的汇划，多采用电汇方式。
部分银行已悄然取消了“电汇”的转账方式，一律采用“转账”的收费标准。
“异地转账的手续费按转账金额的1%收取，最低1元，最高50元。”工商银行客服人员明确表示。虽然在工行的官方网站上《中国工商银行服务价目表》仍有“电汇”的收费标价，但其客服却表示：“在柜台就按转账收费，没有电汇的项目。”
此外，建设银行、中国银行、光大银行等银行表示无法办理“电汇”业务，异地转账手续费率为0.4%到1%不等。
实际上银行的服务收费项目分为政府指导价和市场调节价两个部分。其中，“电汇”属于政府指导价范畴，“1万元以下(含)5元/笔；1万元－10万元(含)10元/笔；10万元－50万元(含)15元/笔；50万元－100万元(含)20元/笔”的收费标准，各银行是完全统一的。
而“转账”则属于市场调节价，由各家银行自行定价，各银行有所不同。
这意味着，部分银行在办理异地转账业务时，“选择性忽略”了收费较低的电汇方式，统一采用收费较高的转账方式。
