一、grade，n.级别；分数；年级；梯度；斜坡；与纯种杂交改良的牛。

二、英语分数的表示法：

1、用“基数词＋序数词”表示，分数在英语中通常是借助于基数词和序数词来共同表达的。

2、其中基数词表示分子，序数词表示分母。

例如：The centimeter is one-tenth of the decimeter or one-hundredth of the meter：厘米是分米的十分之一,或者说是米的百分之一；

However,the number of boys will bea third or less than the girls in the class：但是，班里男生的人数将比女生少三分之一或更少；

从以上例子可以看出：分子除用one外，half。也可用a；如果分子大于1，分母要用复数形式。但是1／2不能说a second，而要说a

注意：

分数常和 of 连用，作主语或宾语，但分数也可以不带 of 短语直接作主语或宾语。

例如：In U.S., two-thirds continue to support death penalty.

在美国，三分之二的人仍然支持死刑。

英语分数先写分子，再写分母，分子用基数词，分母用序数词，当分子大于一时，分母要加s，分数没有单复，要看其后的名词。1/3one third.2/3two thirds。

3、从20至99：整数的几十中除了twenty（二十）、thirty（三十）、forty（四十）、fifty（五十）、eighty（八十）为特殊形式外，sixty（六十）、seventy（七十）、ninety（九十）都是其个位数形式后添加后缀-ty构成。

4、百位数个数基数词形式加“hundred”，表示几百，在几十几与百位间加上and。
