我觉得就只能分成absolute和relative两种，也就是完全的和不完全的同义词。完全的同义词在日常的语言中很少，例如：mother tougue & native language一般只用于科学词汇。而大多数是relative synonym。说到relative synonym呢，当然会different in some aspects.可以是differ in the shades of meaning（e.g.finish&end）/stylistic meaning(e.g.to die&to kick the bucket)/emotive meaning(e.g.Negro&Nigger&Black)/range of use(e.g.on&about)/collocation/BE&AE(e.g.autumn&fall).
