中学用英语读作：middle school。
我们国家的中学一般都译为middle school,因为middle的意思是“中间”,school的意思足“学校”，故middle school就等于“中学”。
在美国，中学称high school；高中称senior high school，初中称junior high school。在英国，中学通常称为secondary school。他们对middle school一词的理解和我们并不一致。
